The Urban Impact Laboratory of EIRA

We work with cities, universities, and communities to activate underutilized spaces and turn them into infrastructure that generates well-being, sustainability, and shared value.

AIRE

WE CONNECT TECHNOLOGY, COMMUNITY, AND CULTURE TO REGENERATE THE CITY AS A LIVING ECOSYSTEM.

AIRE ACTIVATES PLACES WHERE THE CITY BREATHES AGAIN, AND WHERE URBAN PLANNING IS PRACTICED AS A FORM OF COLLABORATION, CARE, AND COMMON PURPOSE.

Cities do not need more buildings; they need new forms of social cohesion and ways to rebuild their urban fabric.

AIRE links technological innovation with community activation, promoting collaborations with public institutions within frameworks of general interest and civic innovation.

Through participatory design, culture, and applied science, it reimagines the city as a shared ecosystem, where knowledge, creativity, and technology align to generate real and measurable impact.

It acts as EIRA's social, ethical, and impact interface, transforming research into action and data into environmental, social, and governance (ESG) value. Each project becomes a prototype of urban resilience, an experiment that combines ecological recovery, social cohesion, and transparent governance.

WHERE EIRA BUILDS THE FRAMEWORK, AIRE GIVES IT PURPOSE.

AXES OF ACTION

Regenerate to breathe

AIRE promotes projects that restore the natural balance of the urban environment through analysis, modeling, and active management of environmental data, generating tangible and verifiable ecological value.

Each intervention is based on a data-driven territorial diagnosis, where observation, climate simulation, and the reading of urban indicators allow critical areas to be identified and regeneration strategies tailored to each context to be defined.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL AXIS UNDERSTANDS THE CITY AS A LIVING ECOSYSTEM.

Every intervention, no matter how small, can restore interrupted natural flows: water, air, vegetation, temperature, and the well-being of those who inhabit it.

Its actions combine green infrastructure, urban gardens, smart water management, carbon capture, biodiversity, and climate adaptation, integrating sustainability into the core of the urban fabric.

SOCIAL | CULTURAL AXIS

Caring to connect

AIRE promotes projects that regenerate the social and cultural fabric of the city, creating shared spaces that strengthen cohesion, inclusion, and a sense of belonging. The social axis addresses urban regeneration not only from the perspective of infrastructure, but also from that of human and relational ties: spaces where time, knowledge, and community are shared.

Its actions promote coexistence, diversity, and collective creativity through shared urban gardens, cultural courtyards, neighborhood workshops, and educational programs that reinforce community life and urban inclusion.

Each intervention restores the relational dimension of the city, returning spaces to their capacity for encounter, dialogue, and shared expression.

THE SOCIAL AXIS MAKES THE URBAN HUMAN.

Transforming spaces into platforms for empathy, identity, and social cohesion through participatory methodologies and social impact metrics, AIRE evaluates and amplifies the effects of coexistence, accessibility, and collective well-being.

Reconfiguring perception

AIRE acts on the mental and symbolic dimension of the city, integrating aesthetic, sensory, and reflective processes that modify the way we inhabit and understand the urban environment.

The subjective axis is based on the idea that all urban transformation is also a transformation of collective consciousness.

AIRE's interventions generate new ecologies of perception, where art, memory, and sensory experience allow us to relearn the city through attention, empathy, and sensitivity.

THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE IS INTEGRATED AS PART OF URBAN INTELLIGENCE.

SUBJECTIVE | INDIVIDUAL AXIS

These actions operate as a recoding of living space: roofs that raise ecological awareness, routes that activate the neighborhood's emotional memory, installations that invite pause, contemplation, and care.

AIRE measures the impact of this dimension using indicators of subjective well-being, environmental perception, and emotional connection to the territory.

GOVERNANCE

Collaborating to transform

AIRE is governed by an open and ethical governance architecture that guarantees traceability, transparency, and redistribution of the value generated in each project.

This cross-cutting framework connects the three pillars—environmental, social, and subjective—aligning public and private actors and citizens under principles of shared responsibility and shared benefits.

AIRE's governance operates through collaboration protocols, ethical indicators, and impact assessment mechanisms, ensuring that each urban intervention is socially just, environmentally coherent, and culturally inclusive.

SOCIAL

Purposeful collaboration

In practice, AIRE is EIRA's public collaboration tool, enabling partnerships to be established with local councils, universities, and other institutions within frameworks of general interest and urban innovation.

This structure facilitates direct and transparent cooperation processes, ensuring institutional legitimacy, traceability, and technical consistency in each project.

Its goal is to translate EIRA's technological capabilities into environmental, social, and governance (ESG) value, promoting a new urban practice that is more sustainable, collaborative, and based on data and evidence.

AIRE OPERATES AS AN INTEGRATED UNIT WITHIN EIRA, CONCEIVED AS AN AGILE, EXPERIMENTAL PLATFORM FOCUSED ON COLLECTIVE IMPACT.
